TapIn is designed to be private-by-default. This page describes what TapIn collects when you use tapin.fan and how it is used. This page is customer-facing and subject to counsel review.
What we collect
Account: email, verified phone number, chosen display name, and (for hosts/artists) social handles and payout info. Activity: submissions, votes, chat messages, watch time, wallet transactions. Device: a device fingerprint used only for anti-fraud and identity resolution. Payment metadata is handled by Stripe and never stored in raw form.
What we use it for
Operating the room, ranking songs, delivering rewards, preventing fraud, enforcing anti-farm and duplicate-account rules, and improving the product. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with unrelated third parties for marketing.
Who sees what
Public-safe fields (artist name, city/country, Instagram handle, submitted song) are visible in the live room. PII (email, phone, device fingerprint, payment info) is never returned to logged-out sessions and is protected by row-level security policies on our database.
Your controls
You can request deletion of your account at privacy@tapin.fan. Some records (payout history, KYC verifications, fraud signals) are retained as required by law and by our payment processors.

TapIn is 13+. Cash-related features are 18+.
